Keith + Alaina = Jonny

Literally nothing makes me happier than providing
my friends with physical evidence of a slice in time of their life as new parents.
It is such an honor to watch them with little Jonny, a boy that has stolen all of our hearts!!!

Life could look too perfect through photos sometimes,
which is why I love asking the mother’s the joys AND struggles of this new chapter:

My favorite part of each day: Every time Jonny wakes up from sleeping, whether its a nighttime stretch or his mini 30 min snoozes during the day, he greets us with the happiest, gummy smile!! I’m super jealous if I’m not the one to grab him first hahha
What has surprised me the most: The protective instinct I felt right away and how it grows stronger every day.
What has challenged me the most: Sleep Schedule!! No one warned me babies didn’t come with an automatic time clock (rude!). Breastfeeding also has it peaks and valleys. Somedays I want to say,  “Sorry boo, you’re a bottle baby,” but absolutely nothing compares to your little babe looking up at you mid-feeding!!
I am grateful for: My husband! When Jonny entered the world, he struggled for a few minutes and my husband instinctively tried to jump in to save him. In the days that followed, the way he handled Jonny with such gentleness was amazing…and now they’re two peas in a pod! He’s the only one who can really make Jonny giggle. Typing this makes my heart go BOOM for him.
My favorite part of Jonny’s current stage (3.5 months old): He knows mom and dad and loves us most! We can hand him to friends and family but you can tell he’s not as happy (no offense everyone).
My advice for soon-to-be-mamas: Get into the best shape on your life during pregnancy!!!! Then get right back into after birth (when the doc clears you). I’m sure labor has a lot to do with genetic predisposition, but I truly believe the pushing part of my labor was easy and recovery was relatively short because my body was strong! Fitting back into your pre-preggo pants 4 weeks later is a bonus…. and the exercise endorphins make you a pleasant person to be around.
